Gas Boiler Installation
Choosing the right Gas Boiler: Combination vs System vs Regular, Conventional Boilers for you.
Many old gas and oil boilers are regular, conventional boilers that have a separate hot water cylinder to store hot water, rather than providing it directly from the boiler. When you replace your boiler, you can choose to keep your hot water cylinder and buy a new regular boiler, or you could buy a combi boiler that doesn’t need a cylinder.

A regular boiler is more efficient than a combi at producing hot water in the first place, but then some heat is lost from the hot water cylinder, so a combi may be more efficient overall.

A System boiler takes its water supply directly from the mains to heat your central heating system and produce hot water for a storage cylinder. System boilers work like a Regular (Conventional) boiler in that they need to store hot water.
